Day 1 of The Quirky Tour and Jess and Dom enjoyed a stay in Temptation II, a 60ft classic motor yacht in Southampton.

First Impression:
Impressive vessel at the end of a pontoon with (almost) full size living space which was built with quality materials including lots of wood in bespoke fashion in the early 80s.
We were met by Robert who is friendly and helpful, and gave us an introduction to the boat as some explanation required pre stay. It was great to stay on Tempation II after working with the owners for nearly 5 years.
The Accommodation:
The yacht is well equipped with a quality sitting room with music system, flowers and crystal glasses for your favourite tipple.
There is a dining table, well equipped kitchen with coffee machine for that all important morning hit of caffeine and table and seating to eat or work using the supplied wifi. There is an on-deck table and chairs too - not for winter, but that would be amazing in the warmer months.
The master bedroom oozes romance with a comfortable large bed and even a TV so you can tune in to your favourite programs in style. An en-suite comes with shower and mini bath.
There is a second cabin with twin beds which is suitable for adults or children, plus a second shower room, so plenty of space for everyone.
Up on deck you can relax in the bubbles of the hot tub taking in the view of the marina and the river. This is set under a cover, so even when the weather is typically British, you can still make use of this amazing feature.
Food and Drink:
There are a couple of eateries within walking distance including Shamrock Bistro (closed on Mondays) and a great Mexican place.
There is a locals pub where you can enjoy a drink and have fun with a game of pool and meet some boating characters.
There are a range of great restaurants in Oxford Street in Southampton, just 5 minutes away by car.
Jess' top tip:
It can be chilly on board a boat in winter, so be sure to bring some warm clothes, especially if you want to sit up on deck!
