Day 36 of The Quirky Tour and Jess and Dom enjoyed a visit to The Teeny Houses in Warwickshire, England.
Find out more about their visit:
First Impression:
A good getaway for anyone looking for a short break with hot tub in a rural setting.
You can park alongside your accommodation (if not over 2m vehicle) and enjoy a walk into the village on a good path where there are 5 pubs to choose from and a shop.
Although Aidan, whom we have worked with since 2017 was away for our visit, he left us in the capable hands of his friendly helpers Radek and Christina.
The Accommodation:
Located 12 minutes from Royal Lemington Spa and just over half an hour from Stratford-upon- Avon, these uniquely designed small houses offer a rural retreat centrally located in England.
The Teeny-Weeny's have one living room where sofa cushions can be put together on the floor at night and packed up to seating during the day to give you some indoor space.
The Family Teeny's have fold down bunk beds, a sofa bed and mezzanine level bedroom.
And Teeny Weeny Deluxe has a fixed bed for added comfort and ease.
There really is something for everyone here. The focus at this site however is on your outdoor space.
With a hot tub, outdoor seating, BBQ and woodburner, it means much of your time can be spent outside, reconnecting with each other and mother nature.
There is a toilet cabin alongside, but the shower cabin is shared and a short stroll away.
Food and Drink:
Enjoy cooking up a tasty feast at the property using the BBQ or store some nibbles in the fridge.
Should you wish to venture out you can walk to the village of Long Itchington to try out the 5 pubs there.
If you are running low on supplies then there is a Co-Op convenience store in the village or just a 10 minute drive away is a Tesco superstore in the town of Southam.
Jess' top tip:
Being in the middle of England means these properties can be easily reached from many places.
You can go into Royal Leamington Spa and take in the Georgian architecture and mineral springs or to Stratford upon Avon as we did. This was a lovely experience.
There are a lot of historic Tudor buildings to admire in the town and a lovely walk along the river as well as the Shakespeare side of things.
Dom and I both really liked the atmosphere of the place and would definitely return.
Closer to the properties there is a quality path that passes the farm and takes you into the village or away from it.
When walking towards the village before long the path is crossed by the Millenium Way Trail which is a rougher track that goes for 100 miles in all. So bring your boots and go walking! What better way to relax after a day´s walking than in a hot tub!
