Description

This former hotel is situated at one of France's highest railway viaducts (built 1901-1909, today no longer in use). It has a magnificent view on the viaduct and a huge reservoir lake.

There are now two apartments - Gîte Bellevue & Gîte Le Viaduc - in the former hotel, for 5 persons each, decorated with loads of pictures to recall the history of this place. Each apartment has it's own entrance, living room, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, 3 bedrooms and outside space. Rentals per week (sat.-sat.), off season weekends possible. Next to the hotel is La Petite Maison Bleue, a small house which was originally for the servants of the hotel, the converted building now sleeps 2 guests.

Activities in the area include swimming and water sports on the lake, canoeing on the river La Sioule, national park the chain of volcanoes with the Puy de Dôme being the highest (1465m), local markets, visit cheese makers, walking, mountain biking, fishing (trout and salmon in the river), medieval villages etc.

Prices for the gîtes start form €325 per week. Prices for the former servants house start at €250 per week.
