Across the English Channel in the tiny village of Glatigny in Normandy, just under an hour from Cherbourg, you can find this lovingly restored delightful and rustic yet luxurious farmhouse that sleeps up to 9 people.

The farmhouse is set within Glatigny village, yet benefits from a large garden both at the front and back of the property that offers you plenty of space to play or simply relax. Take time to light the fire pit and the BBQ, pour a drink at the garden bar and enjoy winning and dining al fresco, whilst the kiddies explore the mixed fruit orchard and wild flower meadow. Alternatively head into the barn where bikes, table tennis and outdoor games can be found or hang out in the quirky "Indoor/Outdoor" area complete with a swing and dartboard ! There is even a tennis court in the village that guests of the cottage are welcome to use free of charge.

Inside the farmhouse you can discover something new and quirky at every turn. Downstairs an open plan living area with kitchen diner welcomes you with its warm colours and gorgeous character bar. The spacious lounge with "chesterfield" style sofa (which opens into a comfortable memory foam double bed) has a large stunning ornate wood burner and other quirky touches. There is also a lovely oversized family bathroom with power shower and utility room with washing machine on this level.

Climb the wooden stairs to the first floor where you will discover a landing area with desk and small library. The sofa here is the perfect place to curl up with a good book, whilst at night it doubles as a second sofa bed. The romantic master bedroom with carved headboard and plenty of nooks and crannies in the stone wall (perfect for LED candles) leads onto an en-suite bathroom with a beautiful roll top bath to luxuriate and relax in. Whilst the twin bedroom offers lovely views over the garden.

Up a further flight of stairs you can find the ultimate mezzanine level double bedroom with private lounge area, great for those who are looking for a little downtime...and some action on the retro games console!

Locally you can take a stroll to the long sandy beach that is close to the farmhouse, or visit one of the nearby bustling village markets where you can pick up some typical French treats! Alternatively take a step back in time on the Cotentin 1930's Tourist train or try you hard at horse-riding along the beach. Mont St Michel is also a must as is a trip to see the Bayeux Tapestry! Alternatively book one of the special guided tours or bucket list experiences with the help of the farmhouse owners!
