Inside the city of Fredericksburg, the hotel is located only two miles from main street. The Hotel is adjacent to the runway ramp area, providing excellent viewing of those spectacular flying machines.

The Airport Diner, along with the large Airport Conference Center, are located adjacent to the hotel. The Diner and Conference Center also are in keeping with the era, and provide the same level of excellent devotion to detail as the hotel. Spend a memorable evening in the Officers Club.

Lady Bird Johnson Park is just across from the Gillespie County Airport runway. The park provides an Olympic size swimming pool, lighted tennis courts, volleyball courts, basketball, baseball diamonds, nature trails, and picnicking facilities next to the dam or alongside a beautiful creek.

The Gillespie County Fairgrounds are adjacent to the hotel facilities. Numerous events are scheduled throughout the year including horse racing, county fair, country peddler, gun and knife shows, car shows, tractor shows, etc. There is an observation deck is a great place to watch all types of aircraft that visit the airport.
