Converted horsebox offers comfortable accommodation with rural views close to the seaside university town of Aberystwyth on the main coastal route to Cardigan.

This 1985 British Leyland Roadrunner lorry started out life in road haulage before being converted to a horsebox for three horses. It was a familiar sight over the years at many local shows and events. It has now been thoughtfully renovated and given a new lease of life, creating a quirky and cosy place for two guests to enjoy some rest and relaxation. The horsebox is well insulated and has heating, mains electricity, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Guests can enjoy a good night's sleep in the full size double bed with pocket sprung mattress and there is a comfy sofa to unwind and enjoy the leafy view from the lovely light french windows.

Outside the horsebox you can find a private deck, BBQ and firepit area, perfect for enjoying a spot of al fresco dining or stargazing with delicious toasted marshmallows. Guests have sole use of a shower room and toilet 15 metres from the horsebox plus a large sink and drying area.

The horsebox is located in the grounds of a converted Victorian school, just three miles south of Aberystwyth. For non-drivers we are on a major bus route. This is not for those seeking a remote hideaway. Instead it offers the benefits of rural glamping with the convenience of accessibility. It is an ideal base for visiting Aberystwyth, exploring the local area including the coastal delights of Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian mountains or as an overnight haven for tourers.

Guests are welcome to access the bridle path through the garden which runs alongside a stream and leads to lots of lovely countryside walks. The Ceredigion coastal path is about a mile away and can be accessed by public footpath.

Please note there are several steps to access the horsebox. Free car parking next to horsebox. Bikers welcome.
