Hutty Over the Valley offers a romantic retreat for 2 (with a space for a 3rd guest) with an outdoor whisky barrel tub and incredible views over the valley and Black Mountains.

Hutty Over the Valley is a great mixture between a shepherd's hut and wagon and comes adorned with antique mirrors, an extra long double bed plus a bijou Jotul stove which keeps Hutty warm and cosy. You can even find sockets in the property, although spending your time here enjoying a digital detox is recommended! There is space for a 3rd guest under the double bed for an extra cost.

Relax on your private terrace, the perfect place to sit with your morning cuppa or favourite book. On your terrace you can find a 1950's kitchen cupboard full on all the amenities you could need to cook up a delicious fresh meal with a vintage calor double gas hob, grill and oven for cooking plus a mini fridge. When it comes to doing the dishes, there is a Belfast sink with hot and cold water so you can enjoy doing the dishes whilst taking in the view.

Your own private whisky barrel as a hot tub also awaits outside Hutty. Just jump in. adjust the temperature as necessary!

Just a couple of steps away is your private compost loo and shower. Of an evening you can light the firepit and snuggle up with your loved one.

Locally you can walk the famous Offa's Dyke Path, visit the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre or take a trip to the literary Hay-on-Wye. Here you can drive up to the Bluff, only 8 minutes from Hay, to the top of the Black Mountains with breath taking views and walks. Alternatively take to the water and try your hand at canoeing - a fun and unique experience for everyone. The Warren is a riverside beach accessible from Hay-on-Wye, with its expanse of fields along the River Wye. Food buffs will enjoy a delicious meal at Rhydspence Inn which is just a 40 minute stroll away through the country lanes, the perfect way to work up an appetite.

Should the temperatures drop below freezing point, it is most likely that there will be no water from taps, in that case the owner will top all outdoor tubs with water ahead of freezing, and provide drinking water in glass bottles and fill thermoses from the house tap (drinking water), and you can heat up water to wash up on stoves. However this is an extreme scenario which has not happened in recent years.

There is a Wood fired Norwegian Sauna on site, this can be fired on request for £10 each session of 1 hour, for each group of people...... this is proving very popular and what better way to celebrate!!!

Dogs welcome for a charge of £20. Strictly no puppies. Please note this property has a 3ft high chestnut pailing fence so is dog safe, but please still be mindful of them escaping.

The first basket of wood will be provided, the ones after £7 each, you're very welcome to bring your own. IF you want to have an outdoor fire, where possible, please provide your own wood for fire pits.
