Jackdaw Quarry Lodges are two of a handful of stunning lodges set on a hillside above the clear, blue water of Jackdaw Quarry, near Carnforth Lancashire. Each has a hot tub with a view.
Jackdaw Quarry Lodge and Jackdaw Quarry Heights sleep up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms and have amazing views of the Yorkshire Dales, the Lakeland Fells and spectacular sunsets over the Bay, and are surrounded by easy access to the Lakes and Dales, perfect for cycling and countryside walks.
Direct balcony views over the quarry lake which is home to Capernwray scuba diving centre. The setting is described poetically by one guest as: "Jackdaws flying past all day long, sparrowhawks feeding their young on the quarry face opposite, the occasional fox strolling along the quarry top at dusk, shoals of trout swimming past (throw in a few pieces of bread and see the water boil with fish) .....Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms, lakeside balconies (perfect for outdoor breakfasts, barbecues or an early evening drink)".
Jackdaw Quarry Lodge has 3 bedrooms with six foot super-king beds (2 can be divided into twins), 2 bathrooms, patio garden and balconies, reclining garden chairs, smart TV and DVD service, Bluetooth speaker for iPod/iPad/Android devices, electric fireplace and underfloor heating, electric fans in each bedroom, a BBQ and PlayStation 4. A welcome pack is included on arrival. A new hot tub has been perfectly placed to enjoy the view.
Jackdaw Quarry Heights has 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6 and is a slightly larger property perched high at the end of the Quarry offering 'Big Sky' views out across the quarry lake north towards the Lakes. The 2 main bedrooms are bigger with their own en-suites and direct balcony access providing views out across the quarry lake. The facilities otherwise are the same as the Lodge, with both properties having amenities for those with disabilities. There is new decking and a hot tub at this property.
Prices vary, minimum 3-night weekend stay from £750, midweek off peak stay of 4 nights from £850. A peak summer week costs from £2,000 with an off-peak week costing £1200. Monday and Friday arrivals.
There is a £50 fee for hot tub maintenance.
