This unique lighthouse lodge is right on the sea front in the Chesapeake Bay on Amelia Island. The wonderful property is a replica of the famous Thomas Point lighthouse, and is the perfect escape from the city.
As well as being right on the seafront, Katie's light has many activities and interesting sights to see nearby, for example the museum of science and history in Jacksonville or the Alexander Brest Planetarium. Also only a short drive away is the Fort Clinch National park.
Katie's Light house is a cottage sleeping up to 8 people, in 4 bedrooms, as well as a dinning room, living room and kitchen. The three main bedrooms are all double rooms, with one queen size bed. The fourth room, 'the Captains Quarters' sleeps either one adult or two children, and is set in a cosy corner of the lighthouse with towering bookshelves. The living room looks out onto stunning views of the seafront, just outside the living room is a small balcony, with deckchairs for those wanting to get a good view of the sunset. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the whole lighthouse is fitted with air conditioning and heating.
Individual rooms cannot be rented, so the nightly price for the lighthouse between March and September is £342 or £2278 for the week. (plus tax)
Between September and February the nightly price is $435 and for the week it is $2610.
No pets or smoking allowed. Families welcome.
