Above the charming seaside town of Broadstairs, on a chalk headland is the delightful child friendly Khina Cottage which is next to North Foreland Lighthouse. Its spectacular location means that fun, sandy beaches are just a short stroll away. The cottage can sleeps 3+1 in a king size bed, single bed & a pull out single bed, however is best suited to a maximum of 3 adults.

On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen leading onto a dining room with seating for 4 people. You can then relax in the cosy living room area around the gas effect fire. The cottage also has gas central heating to ensure you are kept warm & toasty.The bathroom can also be found on the ground floor. On the first floor you can fine the two well sized nautical style bedrooms. Shared with the neighbouring cottage is over an acre of lawned garden and patio area to enjoy the fresh seaside air.

Khina Cottage is located at the far eastern tip of Kent, a few minutes walk from Joss bay, a beautiful sandy beach. The earliest reference to a light on North Foreland was given in a deed dated 1499 and, at that time, it was almost certain that the beacon was used to warn of attack or piracy rather than as an aid to navigation. The lighthouse does not have a fog signal.

The closest pub to the property is just a 10 minute stroll away, The Captain Digby Inn which serves hearty food & North Foreland Golf Club is also very close by. Broadstairs is a quinteseential Victorian seaside town, which has literary associations with Charles Dickens, the town holds a Dickens Festival in June each year & a popular Folk Music Week in August. Whilst here be sure to spend some time exploring the beautiful rolling hills of the Kent Downs.

Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.

Two dogs allowed at small additional charge, please note the site is not enclosed and has direct access to a road. No smoking. There is a travel cot, highchair and stairgate available upon request. Car parking is provided.

The minimum stay is 3 nights. In July & August the change over day is Saturday (in these months the minimum stay is 7 nights).
