From 1 March to 31 October you have the option to take her cruising on the canal too. There is an additional cost of £170 if you wish to take the Kingfisher Canal boat cruising during your stay. Request this at time of booking and before payment is made.

This is truly the ultimate place to relax with your loved one. Enjoy relaxing in the warmth of the hot tub in your private garden area, chill out on the unique swinging wigwam day bed whilst soaking up the sun or enjoying the night sky, or book a session in the on site sauna. Alternatively open a pack of marshmallows or sausages and cook up a feast on the fire bowl BBQ.

The boat itself comes fully insulated and with heating for those chillier English nights. There are real wooden floors throughout plus blackout curtains for total privacy. The bedroom offers a luxurious king size bed with memory foam mattress and the ensuite shower room comes fully equipped with eco toiletries, fluffy towels and bathrobes. The living area offers a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar area, plus a gorgeous blue velvet sofa which you can sink into and watch the TV or the flames of the log burner. There is a large deck at the back of the boat and a smaller one to the front, both of these offer a great place to enjoy your morning cuppa surrounding by the sights and sounds of the canal.

Locally you can enjoy a stroll along the canal path taking in the rare fauna and flora that surrounds it or bring a bike (there is bike storage) and cycle all the way to Chesterfield, if you are feeling energetic. Historians will love a trip to Gainsborough Old Hall, one of the best preserved timber framed manor houses in the UK whilst animal lovers will enjoy a visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

Complimentary breakfast hamper includes: local sausages, bacon and eggs. Tomatoes, mushrooms, corn flakes, bread, butter, milk, jam, coffee, decaff coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sparkling Belvoir elderflower presse, sugar and sweetener. (Subject to change)

Use of the sauna and BBQ cabins are included in the price of your stay, both cleaned, sanitised and lit ready for your private session. Also included is a starter pack of wood, toiletries, cleaning pack, bathrobes, towels,luxury linen, smart TV, and digitial guest book.

BBQ hamper (£30 for 2 people) - includes locally made 2x beef burgers, 2x Moroccan flavoured chicken skewers, 2x minted lamb chops, 2x bread rolls, mushrooms, corn on the cob, peppers, courgette, cheese, ketchup, BBQ sauce, salt and pepper.

STEAK HAMPER

Steak hamper (£32 fpr 2 people) - includes 2x rump steaks, peppercorn sauce, mushrooms, corn on the cob, asparagus, peppers, salt and pepper.

AFTERNOON TEA FOR 2 (£35 for 2 people)

Afternoon tea of local produce delivered to your lodge in a wicker hamper with vintage crockery, linens and picnic rug, courtesy of Rainbow Cottage.

Fresh made finger sandwiches (choice of brown/white bread from Gadsby’s of Southwell with multiple options of sandwich and cake from which you can choose 3 of each.)

Dietary options will include: Slimming World, Gluten Free, Lactose free, Vegan/Vegetarian. Happy to consider other requirements on request. Some of the offering may change, dependent on seasonal availability (i.e., asparagus quiche when it is in season within the savoury section)

Drift away on a soothing journey to a world of relaxation. The ultimate in relaxation combined with the power of touch and expert massage techniques will leave you floating on a cloud. This massage can be adapted to suit pregnancy (14 weeks +), all you need to do is advise at time of booking.

Enjoy the heavenly full body massage as a couple, the massage therapists will perform this treatment in sync so you can enjoy the treatment together.

All the treatments are carried out in the comfort of our therapy yurt allowing you to completely relax and enjoy the experience, no driving or walking required. Wash off oils thoroughly before using the hot tub.

Skippered Trips

Skippered trips are available from £210, where you can be driven either to Drakesholes or West Stockwith and return back to site.
