An off-grid, 16th century farmhouse, sleeping 7, and a barn which sleeps 12 close to Lake Coniston in the Lake District.

Low Parkamoor Cottage is an off-grid, grade II listed, 16th-century farmhouse with 3 bedrooms, located 200 meters above the east shore of Lake Coniston in the Lake District. There are no mains services and the house is served by a traditional outdoor composting toilet. It's the ultimate retreat from modern living with no road access or phone signal!

Set on a working farm below Bethacar Moor with stunning views of Lake Coniston and Grizedale Forest, the site is in a perfect location for water or mountain activities such as canoeing, mountain biking, walking and horse riding.

The cottage consists of a living area, dining area, library with a good selection of books and a seating area, a charming kitchen equipped with all cooking basics, plus there is an outdoor compost toilet. The property can accommodate up to 7 guests in 3 bedrooms - with single and double beds. There are two wood-burning stoves (seasoned wood is provided) as well as small solar panel feeding LED lights in downstairs rooms, a water tank with indoor hand pump, hip bath and bedding and towels are provided.

Also onsite, set within secluded ancient woodland is Dodgson Wood Campsite. The traditional campsite has space for up to 25 people, a mess tent and picnic tables, 4 composting toilets, taps with running water, campfire site (firewood for a small campfire provided), plus onsite parking for up to 6 vehicles (more available nearby). Dogs only welcome after prior agreement due to the extensive wildlife (deer, badgers, etc) and nearby farmland. Friday to Friday (7 nights) £400/£450. Monday to Friday (4 nights) £250/£300. Friday to Monday (3 nights) £250/£300.

Wrostler's Barn is a beautiful off-grid camping 3 level converted barn in secluded woodland. The off-grid, eco retreat has a kitchen, dining and 2 separate sleeping spaces with mattresses for up to 12 people. Friday to Monday (3 nights) £250 or £300 in high season. Monday to Friday (4 nights) £250/£300. Friday to Friday (7 nights) from £400/£450.

The cottage can be booked for long weekends and full week breaks most of the year round. Dogs welcome by arrangement. Prices start from £300/£350 for 3 nights (Friday to Monday), £300/£350 for 4 nights (Monday to Friday) and for 7 nights (Friday to Friday) the price is £450 or £500 in high season.
