Indulge yourself with a charming luxury country holiday stay in one of 6 beautiful canvas lodges in the Axe Valley near the Jurassic Coastline. Coast & Country themed interiors are spacious and stylish, the lodges have ensuite toilets and shower rooms with hot running water in both, proper beds and their own kitchens with wood-burning stoves with an oven to keep you snug and warm.
At Lower Keats, they have thought of everything, even an additional double burner gas hob, for that early morning cuppa or cooking without the need to fire up the stove, so that all you will need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy your stay! Treat yourself with luscious body products and fluffy towels in the bathrooms and complimentary drinks in the superbly equipped kitchen. Tea towels, foil, cling film, kitchen roll and oils are all provided.
Each lodge can sleep up to 6 guests in 3 separate rooms - in a king-sized bed, 2 single beds and a double cabin bed. Beds are made up with luxury linen duvet covers, 13 tog hypoallergenic duvets, pillows and hot water bottles. Cots, high chairs, changing mats etc can be provided for babies and toddlers. There is solar lighting in the bedrooms, dining and sitting areas.
Outside each tent, there is a decked area with reclining furniture and a BBQ with a picnic table, perfect for dining al fresco with your family. There is also a communal area called The Hive that offers shelter should it be needed with a useful washing up station next to it, perfect if you wish to dine with other guests.
This idyllic and spacious meadow site is in the heart of Devon's Axe Valley, between Axminster and Chard, alongside the River Axe and a short drive from the coast. Whilst there are many beautiful places to visit in the locality, why not spend some time here on site where you can meet and feed the animals, collect the eggs, brush the pigs, feed the lambs, stroke a duck and help with farming duties. If you wish to get out and about then enjoy walks along the Jurassic coastline or visit the gorgeous town of Lyme Regis with its hundreds of years of charm, famous harbour and unique shopping and eateries.
Meals and breakfasts can be sourced through The Larder at Lower Keats which also stocks delicious local produce, drinks, ice creams and other essentials. The owners are proud to support local businesses and are also keen on doing their bit for the environment. As such the living area furniture has been sourced from antique shops, whilst the wooden joists under your feet have also lived a previous life. Green power sources light and warm the lodges and environmentally friendly locally made body care products are supplied for your use.
Logs provided in sufficient quantities for the duration of your stay, further supplies available at £5 per net.
