This charming newly built Shepherds Hut is situated on a family run farm on Bodmin Moor offering a rural retreat for 2 with beautiful uninterrupted views over the rolling countryside, reaching the Tamar Valley and as far away as Dartmoor. Nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and also a World Heritage Site, the nostalgic village of Minions is the highest village in Cornwall! Here there are two tearooms, a small village shop and pub which serves great pub food.

The Shepherds Hut is completely self contained and sits within a small paddock adjacent to the owner's farmhouse which is about 60 meters away. Inside you can discover a comfortable double bed, kitchenette with its own fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and single hob - plenty of space to rustle up a hearty breakfast, snack or picnic hamper! The kitchen is well equipped with tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate and milk supplied. If that isn't enough a delicious Cornish Cream Tea will await you on arrival!

A bijou wood burner will keep you snug and cosy on chillier evenings with two large carver chairs the perfect place to sit with a book or magazine. A fold down table is there to use as a dining table, laptop work space or place for playing cards. There is a small TV with built in DVD player. Wood is supplied.

The modern bathroom has a shower, basin and toilet. Two large fluffy towels will be supplied.

Outside is a small, private and peaceful garden area with patio, table and chairs and plenty of room if you would like to bring a BBQ. Here you can gaze at the mystic wonder of the night sky in this Dark Sky Designated Area!

The hut is perfectly based for your Cornish Adventure! Whether you are outdoor enthusiasts or you are seeking to escape the hustle and bustle and soak up the Charm of Cornwall. There are many wonderful walks to take from the hut , all enjoying panoramic views capturing the raw majestic beauty Cornwall boasts. Minions has several prehistoric, medieval places steeped in history. The Cheesewring and Golddiggings Quarry, The Hurlers Circle and Stowe’s Hill are all within easy comfortable walking distance from the hut and can be reached without starting your car. You can expolred countless disused tin mines or sit back and enjoy watching the moors resident animals.

Alternatively, the beaches of Looe are just a 20 minute drive away! Other attractions within a 40 minute drive are the magnificent Lanhydrock House and Gardens, Tintagel Caslte, Golithha Falls and Cotehle House.

The Shepherds Hut is accessed up the farm lane, and the hut is reached by walking up a short gravel path. There may be the owner's family horses or a few sheep in the paddock adjoining the hut during your stay.

Single night stays welcomed in low season. No pets. Unsuitable for more than 2 guests.
