Luxury thatched cottage with private hot tub and secret garden sleeps up to 8 people in the quietest and prettiest part of the old town area of Minehead.

The property effortlessly combines original features including a 'squint' window with modern conveniences and furnishings. Downstairs there is a comfortable sitting room with wood burning stove plus a 40" smart TV with Sky and Netflix subscriptions. Children will enjoy playing with all the games and jigsaws whilst the adults can relax with their favourite series.

The country style kitchen has a full range of high spec appliances and comes complete with a rustic wooden table, which is a great place to plan the day's events over breakfast. For more formal dining, there's a dining room with views out to the terrace and custom built table. It's also great for board games and jigsaws! There is also the 'bootroom' on the ground floor. This hard floor room has its own entrance from the street, and is great for wet dogs, boots and coats. The hoover and iron in are also kept here. From the kitchen, take two steps up to the utility area, where there is a large fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble drier.

There are four beautifully furnished en-suite bedrooms, one, a twin, is situated downstairs. This is the Garden Room which can be configured as a super king or a twin (you choose). This large room has an en-suite shower room and views out to the terrace and garden. All our bedrooms boast high quality furninishing and fabrics, curated antique furniture and sumptuous bedding, bedlinen and towels, and high-quality Hypnos and hotel-standard mattresses.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, all of which have en-suites. Vogue and Peacock are king size rooms and Dance, our smallest room, is a cosy double with a window seat, perfect for watching the world go by. Two travel cots are available if travelling with little ones (please note when booking).

Outside you can enjoy the large cottage style garden and relax in the bubbles of the circular hot tub! Choose to sit back on one of the two terraces or enjoy exploring the secret garden and secluded summerhouse. Fully enclosed, there is a covered pond in the garden.

Locally you can take a stroll around the historical Church Steps, a local beauty spot. Wander down to Minehead town, with its many shops, cafes and restaurants, or head to the historical quayside and sandy beach. Trainspotters will love the vintage railway at the seafront. Don’t miss nearby Dunster with its beautiful high street and many historical monuments, including the National Trust Castle and beautiful gardens.

For day trips, we recommend Porlock Village and Weir, or a trip on the beautiful A39 to visit the Victorian villages of Lynton and Lynmouth with stunning views on the way. Hikers will love exploring the beautiful Exmoor National Park and the South West Coastal Path which starts at Minehead where you see the large hands holding the map.

Alternatively head east and take a stroll through the beautiful Quantock Hills AONB with its heathland, oak woodlands, ancient parkland and coastal beauty.
