Ram Baa Shepherd’s Hut is a cosy converted hut that is right at the centre of the arboretum, surrounded by beautiful trees. Inside the charming hut there is a small double bed, cosy living area with bench seating and a gas burner to cook on. Fairy lights and lanterns offer a romantic setting for loved ones looking for love. The hut can get chilly at night if booking at the start or end of the season so hot water bottles are supplied but be aware and come prepared!

Step just outside the doors, sit down with a cuppa and enjoy the countryside views from the comfort of your patio. All cooking equipment is provided. Why not bring a BBQ to enjoy al fresco cooking! Shared shower and toilet facilities are a short walk away.

During your stay be sure to explore the arboretum and discover the many hidden treasures that the estate has to offer, including hidden natural pools. If you want to go slightly further afield then there are many nearby historical castles and market towns that are worth a visit.

Is there a fridge in the hut?

No but we have a communal freezer in the Estate office so if you wish to bring a cool box you can refreeze your blocks here.

What should I bring with me?

Please bring towels, toiletries, warm clothes, sturdy footwear/wellies and a torch. If visiting in summer, a picnic blanket and some insect repellent may be handy.
