Description

This converted watermill on the banks of the River Waveney on the Norfolk/Suffolk border provides accommodation for 5 guests in the 3 bedrooms. It has a private jetty, a four person rowing boat, a small, private island and even fishing rights for the guests!

The Cottage consists of a spacious and light open plan living space with log-burning stove and gorgeous wooden beams with Sky TV, DVD player and free wifi for your entertainment. The adjoining dining room and modern kitchen have all you could need to cook up a storm including a range cooker, plus there is a useful utility style wet-room with shower and WC. There are 2 spacious double bedrooms - one with a balcony plus a single bedroom and a bathroom with a bath, twin basins and separate shower.

There is a charming enclosed garden with a BBQ and seating overlooking the river that runs the full length of the garden and has bulrushes, water iris, lilies and reeds along its bank. You can sit back and relax while enjoying the passing company of swans, deer, kingfishers, ducks and numerous other bird species.

Within walking distance is a pub which serves drinks at the bar and restaurant food, the Old Kings Head, with origins dating back to the 14th century. For shopping there is the busy market town of Harleston which is just 3 miles from the property. The Heritage Coast and a number of other attractions such as zoos and museums are within easy reach. The location is perfect for outdoor activities such as walking and cycling, especially as it is situated on National Cycle Network route 30.

No pets. A baby is welcome if you bring your own cot. Riverside Cottage is unfortunately not suitable for children under 9 years old. Enjoy exploring the area on the 4 adult bikes that are available to borrow.

Minimum of a 3 night stay. A Friday changeover during the summer holidays for 7 night minimum stays.
