Round Island is a modern welcoming cottage located at Lizard lighthouse on the southern most tip of Britain, which offers a rural stay for 8 people near Helston. Lizard Lighthouse is a fully working lighthouse which was first established in 1619.

On the ground floor of the cottage is a spacious well equipped kitchen with dining table plus a separate dining room and cosy sitting room, both of which offer stunning sea views. There is central heating to keep the cottage warm plus an electric wood burner effect stove in the sitting room for those extra cosy evenings. There is a family bathroom on this floor and a separate WC too, plus a bedroom with twin beds and en-suite bathroom and a king size bedroom. To the first floor you can find both a beautifully decorated king sized master bedroom plus a twin bedroom, both of which have amazing sea views. This property offers great flexibility, suiting 2 families or 4 couples.

Outside you can relax in your enclosed courtyard and listen to the sound of the sea and birds around you.

There are plenty of stunning coastal walks on the doorstep. Locally there is lots to see and do including the famous Lands End or a trip to historic St Michael's Mount. Lizard Village is nearby which has plenty of shops, restaurants & a welcoming pub which is only a 1/4 mile away. Be sure to stop off at a tea shop and treat yourself to a traditional scone, jam and cream too!

Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times. This is an operations lighthouse with an automatic, electric fog signal. During occasional periods of fog and mist, ear plugs are provided for your comfort.

Two dogs welcome at an additional cost. Travel cot & highchair are available on request.

There is a minimum 3 night stay, with a 7 night minimum in July & August and Friday arrivals.
