For horse lovers of any age, sharing a stable for a night with a beautiful Friesian horse will be an unforgettable experience! Here at Greenbank Farm, you can make this dream a reality for up to 3 people!

The stable accommodation consists of a double & single bunk bed, mini kitchen with fridge, hob and microwave for basic self-catering plus an en-suite wet room with shower and portable eco toilet.

Your horse companion enjoys a spacious stable with automatic water feeder, haynet and a see-through room divider so you can you can wake up next to each other in the morning. From the top bunk bed you can stroke and chat to your hearts content and feed your horse treats such as carrots and polos - just remember to get some sleep!

Why not make use of the luxury grooming kit supplied and groom your horse under the twinkling fairy lights before you go to sleep or if you really want to make use of your time, then try your hand at mucking out too!! The Friesian horses belong to the world renound Black Horses Ltd - The Friesian Experience located on the farm and admired by over 55,000 horse lovers on Facebook!

Cartmel village is a short 1 mile walk away where you can find pubs, restaurants and a convenience store, as well as the famous Sticky Toffee Pudding shop, Cartmel racecourse, and the ancient Priory. Located in the beautiful Lake District National Park UNESCO World Heritage site, Windermere lake is just a 15 minute drive away.

FAQs

Are towels and bedding provided?

Egyptian cotton bedding, cosy blankets and hand towels and blankets for use during cooler nights are provided. We also provide luxury toiletries and hot water bottles should you need them.

What do I need to bring with me?

Cooking implements and utensils are provided, along with hand soap, washing up liquid, tea towels, salt and pepper, toilet rolls, so you just need to bring food you would like to cook / eat. There are also local pubs and restaurants in the vicinity.

What can I do with the horse I am sharing the stable with?

Your horse / pony will love spending time with you and enjoy being groomed and petted. We supply a grooming kit, head collar and pyjamas for the horse

What can I feed my stable companion?

Carrots, eating apples, bananas, pears and of course polo mints! We provide two buckets of food and two haynets for you to give them.

Do I need to muck out?

If we are providing a stable mate for your Stable Stay you don’t have to muck out their side of the stable unless you want to!

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, you can as long as it is good around horses and stays on a lead.
