Star Narrowboat Holidays offer two unique narrowboats for beginners and experienced boaters, they have been offering narrowboat hire since 2012.

Gloria is 57ft (17.37m) & sleeps up to 4 people

Queenie is 50ft (15.45m) & sleeps 2 people

Open all year round, they keep the same price all year too and the hire prices are inclusive of bedding, towels, fuel, a boat handling lesson and 24hr on-call support.

They aim to be as flexible as possible, generally, this means you can start and end a hire when you want. They ask that you do your best to pick dates that don't leave a short gap on the calendar where the boats can't be booked. If in doubt please enquire and they'll do what they can to suit you.

Please note minimum 3-night bookings are available for the boat 'Gloria'. 2 night minimum stay over the weekend from November to April on Queenie.

New to canal holidays? No problem, Hester, the owner will teach guests how to handle the boats, offer advice on what routes to take and will make sure you feel ready to go off on your own (if you stay on the Bridgewater canal there will be NO LOCKS).

A barge holiday aboard 'Gloria' and 'Queenie' can be as relaxing or as active as you choose. Good access to the Cheshire Ring, The Four Counties Ring, The Anderton Boat Lift, Liverpool city centre, the Rochdale canal, the Leeds Liverpool canal, and the Trent and Mersey canal. Trips can pass through Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and beyond.

Star Narrowboat Holidays also offer static houseboat hire on their leafy moorings at the Bridgewater Marina/Boothstown Basin M28 1YB - 9 mi/14 km from Manchester city centre & 14 mi/22 km from Manchester Airport.

'Gloria' and 'Queenie' are available all year round with solid fuel stoves to keep you warm in the cooler months.

**Please note that from November 2019 to March 2020 'Gloria' will be available for a continuous, static, houseboat let at Star Narrowboat's base - If you have ever fancied staying on a boat for a few months get in touch.

'Queenie' will be available for normal narrowboat holiday hire all year.
