Description

LAST MINUTE SINGLE NIGHT STAYS BOOKABLE WITHIN 10 DAYS OF ARRIVAL ONLY.

Far beyond an ordinary treehouse, The Blue Tiger is an exotic, afro-colonial lodge set high within a circle of chestnut trees. It offers a magnificent view overlooking the Mediterranean hills and is wonderful for a couple. But 2 extra guests can be added in a separate treehouse bedroom, and 2 more on a sofabed if required.

Secluded within the naturally rich ecosystem of The Regional Park of Upper Languedoc where waterfalls, hiking paths, rivers for kayaking and unusual biking trails abound, this tree-home will inspire dreams of Arabian nights and jungle safaris, whilst above all ensuring peace and calm within a beautifully preserved environment.

From its cobalt blue bedroom with Tuareg and Birmanese accents to its highly perched living-room where African statues bring to life tribal photos, entering this unusual accommodation requires a small transition between the real world and this vacation paradise, so what better than a hanging bridge, itself accessed by twisting up a cutting stairway in the middle of another group of chestnut trees. Even the glassed-in shower is nonetheless suspended in the air to assure that every moment is an exceptional experience.

Expanding on the ideas of The Nest of the Red Dragon (their first guesthouse), Liam and Thomas have added on a functional kitchen perched within the forest for those who dream of a short home-away-from-home. But don’t worry, they haven’t forgotten the essential. The pool is still the pool, so whether a romantic weekend getaway or a week of real vacation for a family, The Blue Tiger promises a voyage far and beyond.

Prices range from £135 - £175 per night for a 1-4 night stay and £119 - £155 per night for a 5+ night stay for 2 people. This price includes breakfast. The accommodation is wonderful for a couple, but can sleep up to 6 guests. There is a supplement of £15 per person for the double sofa bed or £65 for the rental of an independant treehouse bedroom in an adjacent tree..

The accommodation is not suitable for guests with mobility issues nor for children under 7. While one child between 7 and 12 is possible, for more than one child, they must be at least 12.

The owner specializes in world cuisine, notably Japanese, Thai and Indian. Enquire to include a dinner or for weekend or midweek packages with all meals included. Access is via a dirt track but parking is available close to the treehouse. No pets. Closed in winter.

Please note that if this accommodation is full, The Nest of the Red Dragon, which is on the same site may have availability. These 2 properties, although in the same locality, are set in their own private locations, with a shared swimming pool.

The calendar shows combined availability. Both unique treehouses are priced the same for 2 people. It may be that you are offered the other treehouse if this one is no longer available. CLOSED FROM NOV 2nd - May 31st.
