Description

Deep in the Brecon Beacons you can find a family-run site offering a beautiful Byre cottage that sleeps 4-5 people with stunning countryside views, near Brecon. This is the perfect place to get away from it all and do as much or as little as you like.

The Byre, better known as the cowshed, is a delightful cottage with open plan living downstairs and 2 master bedrooms (yes they are both that good!). One bedroom is on the ground floor and has French windows that lead out onto the patio, whilst its bathroom has a bateau bath for soaking in. Upstairs you can find the other spacious bedroom complete with pedestal bath within it and amazing views across to the Black Mountains.

There is a well designed open plan living space that feels both cosy yet spacious due to its high ceiling with exposed wooden beams. The log burner will ensure the property stays cosy during the colder months whilst the modern kitchen allows you to cook up a feast, or alternatively pop something in the wood-burning stove for that true countryside feel.

Outside you can sit, relax and enjoy a BBQ on the terrace whilst taking in the stunning surrounding views. This is also the perfect place to enjoy that morning cuppa or late night tipple, to chill out with a good book or simply to chat with your loved ones.

Locally you can enjoy a spot of cycling, walking or even a guided tour in this beautiful location. Animal lovers can partake in horse-riding, sheep trekking or piggy walking whilst those who enjoy being out on the water can try their hand at canoeing, windsurfing or sailing. There are many festivals throughout the year in this area including the Royal Welsh Show in July, Brecon Jazz festival in August and the Abergavenny Food Festival in September so do please enquire.

There is a Monday, Friday or Saturday arrival day with a Saturday arrival day only in high season.

Children and dogs welcome. Dogs cost £20 per pet per stay. Maximum 3.
