Description

Relax and restore your soul at this family sized authentic Goods Wagon from 1941, that sleeps 5 guests, on a rural site nestled amidst beautiful mountains near the Spittal of Glenshee and the Cairngorms National Park. Book a hot tub session for an extra treat at £95 for a day.

Inside The Goods Wagon you can find a raised double bed and triple bunk bed, thus offering a great space for larger families. There is a wood burning stove for extra cosiness on the chilly Scottish nights and a whistling kettle that you can pop on the burner for that all important morning cuppa. The wagon has electric lighting and sockets for that added touch of luxury, so you can charge your electronics and take a plethora of photos during your stay. When it comes to eating, you can choose to dine inside at the bench table or move outside to the table there where you can dine al fresco taking in the views of the highland cattle and Mount Blair. A firepit is supplied for those evenings when you wish to stargaze or snuggle up to your loved ones outside.

Near to The Goods Wagon you will discover your private, individual bathroom with shower, wc and sink, plus The Bothy - which is a shared kitchen area with hob, small oven, fridge-freezer, washing up facilities and extra dining tables.

For extra relaxation why not book a session in the wood burning hot tub with its stunning views over the glen, covered seating area and changing room. Please enquire about this service.

This family friendly site covers 10 acres and comes complete with donkeys, goats, ducks, chickens and llamas plus a gorgeous natural play area with grass mounds to roll down, tunnels to climb through, tractor tyres to play with and lots of den building equipment. There are even plans for a new wildlife pond, so children can learn all about bugs and insects.

If you can drag yourself away from the tranquillity of the site then there is plenty to do nearby including kayaking, archery, canoeing and guided cycling trips. If you prefer a quieter activity then book onto a course at the nearby Woodland Skills Centre where you can learn bushcraft, willow weaving, spoon carving and coppice crafts to name but a few. And of course during the winter, the site will be covered with snow and you can take to the slopes with skiing, toboganning and snowboarding at Glenshee.

Children welcome. A maximum of 2 dogs welcome at an extra cost of £5 each per night.

There is a minimum 2 night stay.
