Description

Restored traditional Welsh barn, just 15 minutes from the coast, sleeps up to 9 guests. With access to a wood fired clay pizza oven and play barn, there is plenty on the 80 acres for you to see and do.

The Old Cart House is a large spacious property great for families and friends to share. On the ground floor there is an open plan fitted kitchen and dining room with a small sofa and TV. This room benefits from a large picture window which lets in lots of light and provides stunning countryside views. There is a cosy living room with comfy corner sofa and feature stone wall, the perfect place to relax of an evening with a movie. Also downstairs is a double bedroom and a shower room with WC.

Upstairs you can discover 4 bedrooms - two to the left of the staircase and two to the right. On one side you can find a kingsize/twin bedroom and a bunk bed room. On the other side there is a twin bedroom and a single bedroom plus the family bathroom with bath and WC. All the bedrooms have been decorated in delicate colours giving them a tranquil relaxing feeling, perfect for after a busy day.

Outside the property you can take in the incredible views whilst dining al fresco on the picnic bench.

On site you can take a stroll along the Treberfedd Farm Trail which passes through hay meadows, grasslands and woodlands. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open for the variety of wildlife and songbirds! There is also a communal pizza oven and ping pong shed on site, for lots of fun and yumminess.

Locally you can enjoy the beautiful beaches of Cardigan Bay, including the shingle beach at Aberaeron or the sandy beaches at New Quay and Penbryn. If you are an animal lover then take a trip to New Quay where you can board a boat and possibly see some dolphins! From here you can enjoy a hike to Cwmtydu of 3.8 miles, about 2 hours each way, along a part of the Wales Coast Path.

If you are looking for other activities there is a farm nearby that does walks with Llamas and Donkeys which are great fun. There is horse riding available locally and a National Trust property 10 mins away, called Llanerchaeron. Alternatively take a drive into Aberystwyth and get the steam railway up to Devils Bridge waterfall and have lunch at the Hafod Hotel which is a beautiful country estate hotel.

If you want to book a local restaurant it is worth having a look at Aberaeron - The Habour Master is a lovely restaurant. There is also the Y Talbot at Tregaron, which has fanatstic food and a Michelin trained head chef.

The site has its own Farm shop with its own organically reared meat. It sells, bacon, sausages, steak, burgers and joints for roasts, plus bread and butter, milk, eggs and pasta and all you need for a reasonable pasta dish or pizza dish. The shop has an alcohol license so you can buy wines and craft welsh beers.

Dogs welcome at a cost of £25 each for up to 3. Dog must be suitable to be near livestock grazing nearby.

There is a minimum 2 night stay. Prices range from £653 - £1050 for a week's stay.
