Description

Enjoy a stay at this rural farm with its 7 acres of fields, streams and wildlife, in a gorgeous stone cottage for up to 4/5 guests near Llangollen.

The Olde Barn has been lovingly restored and offers a tranquil stay for couples, families, cyclists and walkers in a beautiful area of North Wales. Inside there are gorgeous oak floor boards in the lounge, which comes complete with a comfy sofa, large coffee table, board games and a TV. Here you can dine at the gothic style dining table whilst planning your day. The kitchen is rustic with cute stone cubby holes, a butler sink, retro fridge freezer, double electric hob and microwave. Turn on the radio and listen to your favourite tunes, whilst cooking up a feast.

When it comes to bedtime the unique bespoke double bunk bed is rustic in style and sleeps 2 adults on the bottom section and 2 or 3 children or 2 adults on the top part with high railings ensuring safety. The bathroom is also unique in style with a small roll top bath with rain shower above, a stylish nautical mirror and a quirky toilet. Back in the lounge you will notice a small staircase - this leads up to a handy storage area for your luggage.

Outside there are cobbled stones that lead down to a terrace with bistro table where you can enjoy your morning cuppa or late night tipple with stunning views. Also on site there are 5 rare breed sheep, 3 donkeys and a big blue tractor! Children are more than welcome to help with feeding the animals and even mucking out! On a hot day you can take a stroll to the stream and enjoy a cooling paddle - lots of fun for all ages.

The farm is a mile from the nearest road and at the end of a farm track, which is unsurfaced but passable by cars etc, adding to it's off-the-beaten-track appeal. The area is ideal for lovers of nature, with owls, woodpeckers, birds of prey, foxes, badgers and many songbirds to enjoy.

Locally you can join the Ceiriog trail - ideal for walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders, there is also a local riding school where you can join a trek. The nearby town of Llanarmon offers 2 fantastic pubs for dining out whilst a day at the National Trust Chirk Castle with its 18th century suits of armour and medieval bulwark will amaze and impress you. If you prefer to stay closer to nature then Pistyll Rhaeadr, the tallest single drop waterfall in Britain is well worth a trip.

Children welcome but be aware this property isn't suited for under 2's. A maximum of 2 dogs welcome free of charge.
