The cottage was totally renovated in 2014, having originally been designed by Sir Basil Spence in the mid 1950's. It now offers a 4 star accommodation with 3 bedrooms - 1 kingsize (can be made into twin), 1 double and 1 single all of which have stunning countryside views. The kitchen diner has direct views into the orchard garden where you can find apple and plum trees, the kitchen offers all mod cons for your self catering stay. This adjoins the living room, where you can relax by the wood burning stove and pop on the TV after a busy day exploring the local area. There is a full family bathroom on the ground floor and a WC on the first floor.

The Orchard Cottage has been awarded 4* Gold for 2021/2022 by VisitEngland.

Outside you can relax on the lawn enjoying the sounds of the wildlife around you or take a woodland stroll down to the river. Of a daytime you can partake in a game of tennis at the onsite court whilst of an evening you can retreat to the converted barn which now offers a games room wtih pool table, ping pong table plus space for relaxing.

On site you can enjoy a spot of fishing on the private 1 mile stretch of the River Till or even take a breadmaking course! Locally there is plenty to see and do with many heritage sites in close proximity to the cottage. Duddo stones is only a 2 mile walk, whilst Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a must visit!
