Step back into the Middle Ages with this unique 14th century historic cottage in the village of Dunster. Sleeping 6 guests it offers a great insight into times gone by.

The property effortlessly combines original features aplenty including 600-year old cruck beams, oak screening and stone floors with modern conveniences and furnishings. Downstairs there is a comfortable living room with a wood burning stove nestled in a large fireplace. Add to this a 55" TV with Netflix and the adults can chill out with their favourite series whilst the children will enjoy playing with all the games and jigsaws. The kitchen has a full range of modern appliances including a range style dual fuel cooker whilst the dining area leads out onto the courtyard with bistro table and chairs set. There is also a laundry room with toilet.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms with the master bedroom featuring a wonderful four poster double bed with a "Jack and Jill" en-suite shower room that is shared with the twin bedroom. There is also a double bedroom with en-suite including a bath tub and Sanilav toilet. If bringing little ones, then a travel cot is are available.

Outside you can enjoy a drink in the courtyard or head up to the sun terrace where you can relax in a choice of colourful chairs whilst planning your next day's adventure.

Locally you can take a stroll around the historical high street with a wide variety of independent traders as well as cafes and pubs. Walk to the nearby Dunster Butter Cross monument or up to Conygar Tower, or take time to visit the National Trust Castle and beautiful gardens. At Dunster beach, enjoy the vintage steam trains of the West Somerset Railway or have some old fashioned fun down on the chalet-lined pebble beach. For day trips, we recommend Porlock Village and Weir, or a trip on the beautiful A39 to visit the Victorian villages of Lynton and Lynmouth with stunning views on the way. Hikers will love exploring the beautiful Exmoor National Park and the South West Coastal Path.
