The Rock

See the Bay of Islands on The Rock, an overnight cruise vessel, with activities thrown in.

Description

Just three hours north of Auckland lies 144 unspoiled sub-tropical islands and a myriad of secluded beaches. These are world renowned for game fishing and abundant marine life including wild dolphins, penguins and occasionally Orca. The islands have many examples of the area’s rich Maori history. The calm waters, sandy beaches and exhilarating scenery of the Bay of Islands is what you will explore on The Rock's Overnight Cruise.

The Rock's size allows all the cabins to be situated upstairs with windows to take in the incredible views and balcony access to two quiet observation sun-decks. Downstairs has everything from a log fire, fully licensed bar, piano, free pool table, lounge, dining area and a large fishing and kayaking ramp.

There are 1 private double cabin, 4 four berth private cabins, 3 six berth shared cabins all with sea views. The Rock sleeps up to 40 guests.

Suitable for all ages. Bedding is included. You'll only need a small overnight bag with your personal belongings, swim wear, towel, light jacket and change of clothes.

Prices start at NZ$298 for a place in a shared cabin, or NZ$1125 for 2 sharing a private cabin. Included in the cost is bedding, dinner, breakfast, lunch and all activities including target shooting, dusk fishing, night kayaking, snorkelling, paddle boards, guided island visit and time to explore the island, swimming, beach time, seafood tasting and more. See their website for full details.
