The Shippen is a stunning, historic cottage for 4 surrounded by farmland, fields and apple orchards in a location labelled as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The glass doors from the sitting room create a wonderful indoor/ outdoor area with views onto the rolling fields. The cottage's modernization and styling beautifully combines old with new. Well suited to families or small groups.

The cottage consists of a bright & airy sitting/dining room with a free standing wood burning stove to keep you cosy whilst watching TV/DVD or listening to music, along with large glass doors opening onto the terrace which has lovely views of the surrounding area. There is an adjoining well equipped, contemporary kitchen.

Two steps lead to a double bedroom with en suite shower room, with French doors and steps down to the lawned garden area. There is also a well sized second bedroom with twin single beds and an adjoining study & separate bathroom. The cottage is kept warm with oil central heating with external boiler.

There is a large front garden leading to an enclosed half acre paddock, along with a small pond within the extensive grounds. You can also sit back and relax & dine al-fresco with the garden furniture. If you're feeling sporty there is table tennis in the adjacent barn or you can use the village tennis court by arrangement.

Nearby are family-run farm shops, pubs, cafes and stunning views to admire. 20 minutes from The Shippen is the seaside town of Lyme Regis (a World Heritage Site famous for fossils). A short trip further in the car will take you to numerous other towns and cities with great entertainment and places to browse.

3 night minimum stay. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome for small additional charge. Please note if visiting with young children that there is an open pond in the grounds.
