Built in 1934, The Tower is a unique award winning converted water tower with simple elegant features, modern luxury and stunning views of the River Crouch. A gorgeous retreat for up to 6 guests in the village of Latchingdon near Chelmsford.

Spread over 3 storeys, on the ground level is a five-metre-high entrance hall & quirky circular ''engineers room'' which is used as a study with desk. On the first floor are the 3 beautifully decorated bright bedrooms, two doubles & a king-size. Two of the rooms have en-suites & there is a separate family bathroom with large shower on this floor. On the second floor there is an outstanding south-facing large open-plan kitchen, dining & sitting area with glass wall which opens out to the balustraded balcony with sensational views of the undulating landscapes of the North Downs. There is outdoor furniture on the balcony, perfect for sitting back with a drink taking in the surrounding views.

Locally you can visit the medieval town of Maldon with plenty of contemporary shops & quaint medieval timbered buildings or enjoy a ferry ride from Burnham-on-Crouch to the Essex Marina from where you can walk to the RSPB's Wallasea Island.

Sorry no pets. Families or couples only. There is a total of 45 stairs within The Tower, please take extra care with small children/toddlers. This property may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Although balustraded, the top balcony is 11 metres from ground level so please take care.

There is a 3 night minimum stay.
