If you are looking for a stay with a difference this quirky and quaint Grade II town house in the heart of Maldon offers a romantic stay for 2 close to the Heybridge Basin.

This historic property - formally a smokehouse in the mid 19th century - has been modernised with an Art Deco style living room and all mod cons, perfect for a quiet break but near all amenities. The ground floor has a contemporary kitchen with a Nespresso coffee machine as well as all you could need to cook up a delicious meal. On arrival you can make yourself a drink and enjoy the complimentary M&S; cake that will be supplied for you! The shower room is also found on this floor and comes with a fabulous shower with decadent toiletries supplied and cosy underfloor heating.

Up the first flight of stairs you will discover the rich Art Deco living room, with bright blue sofa, pull up dining table and Smart TV. Here you can relax with your loved one enjoying a movie on the Blu-ray player or using the apps to find your favourite show. On the top floor the luxurious bedroom with the softest linen will ensure you have the best night sleep ever. From the comfort of your bed you can take in the starry night sky courtesy of the star gazing machine..an ideal way to drift off to sleep.

The property is right behind the High Street and as such all amenities are close at hand, from the famous tea room to a choice of pubs and restaurants. After dining you can enjoy a stroll through Promenade Park and in the summer can hire a beach hut for the day and enjoy the simple pleasure of people watching. Whilst here you can visit the Chelmsford City Racecourse or Colchester Zoo.

There is a general minimum one night stay with a minimum 4 nights over Christmas and 2 nights over New Year.

No children or pets. There is no parking outside the property but a permit will be given for parking just across the High Street.
