Description

Enjoy a family-run, eco-friendly, award-winning campsite which has spectacular views of the Welsh countryside. Located on the edge of woodland on a 20 acre smallholding in Carmarthenshire, West Wales.

The Lavvu and Native American Tipi both sleep 4 and sit within their own 'space', separated by mature shrubs and trees and connected by hand-made stepping stones. Both have woodburning stoves, comfortable beds (1 double/2 singles), colourful throws, rugs, sheepskins, LED lighting, blankets, table and chests. All cooking equipment plus a cool box with ice packs (replenished daily) are provided.

Outside you can relax by the campfire and enjoy dining al fresco at the picnic table. Of a night take time to look up at an endless sky of stars and by morning waking to the sound of birdsong. The woodland is adorned with many wood carvings, woodland walks, a fairy village, hammocks and a labyrinth. This is a quiet location, well away from busy roads and not far from both the Carmarthen Bay and the Cardigan Bay coastlines.

For use by all guests is a log cabin with full-size Calor gas cooker with an oven, a wood-burning stove, low energy power for mobile phone charging, a sink, a central table and it has also been made cosy with lots of cushions to sit and chat to fellow guests. There are 2 hot showers, a tiled compost loo and a standard flush loo too. Children can enjoy the play area on the edge of the woodland and den-building is encouraged!

If you are looking for a child-friendly, relaxed and sustainable alternative holiday, look no further. The entire campsite is run by alternative energy - wind, solar and water. All cleaning products are environmentally friendly, and eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner, soap and clothes washing products are supplied. There are also recycling facilities on site.

Minimum 2 night stays throughout the year. In Easter there is a minimum 3-night stay from Friday to Monday and 4-night stay from Monday to Friday. In Summer there is a minimum 7 night stay with Saturday arrival.
