Description

Triton is one of 4 refurbished former lighthouse keepers' cottages at Bull Point Lighthouse in North Devon. The property sleeps 4 people and is perched on a headland between Mortehoe and Woolacombe above the coastline. From the cottage you get an incredible panoramic view of the sea.

The cottage is spread across one floor, there is a bright & airy dining room with seating for 4 which leads onto the modern fully equipped kitchen. At the end of the hall is a lovely relaxing sitting room where you can cosy up with a good book or watch some TV around the electric wood burner effect stove. There are three bedrooms at the cottage, two beautifully decorated bright rooms with single beds & a nautical themed bedroom with king size bed. There is also a well sized bathroom with a walk in shower & separate bath to take a nice soak after a long day exploring the local area.

There is a shared outdoor grassed space with seating area which looks out to the stunning panoramic sea views, perfect to sit and take in the sounds of the coast and enjoy the scenery.

The local village of Mortehoe has great shops, pubs & restaurants where you can taste the fresh local seafood. Just a 10 minute drive away, in Woolacombe, there is a Blue Flag sandy beach, great for a day trip. There are plenty of other places to visit nearby such as Lundy Island, Exmoor Zoo & Ilfracombe Aquarium, all perfect for family day trips.

As the building is located near a small cliff edge the area outside of the fenced perimeter can be very dangerous, so care must be taken especially with children. There is however a coastal footpath which is a great walking route with beautiful seaside and country views.

Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.

No smoking. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome for a small additional charge. A highchair and travel cot are available upon request.

Minimum of 3 nights stay. The change-over day during July & August is a Saturday, in these weeks the minimum stay is 7 nights.
