Description
Welcome to Withy Mills Farm, nestling in the folds of the Cam Valley close to the city of Bath. Enjoy a relaxing group holiday experience in this stunning location with friends and family sharing 4 unusual cottages, sympathetically restored from stone barns providing wonderful accommodation for 21st-century living just 7 miles from Bath.
When it comes to booking a group holiday, it is often desired to have private space as well as united fun. Withy Mills Farm offers just that with 3 cottages sleeping 2 guests and 1 cottage sleeping 4 guests with an extra space in a quirky shepherd's hut. Please do note though that there is no central communal area inside to have a meal together.
Wharfingers Cottage was originally a milking parlour and now provides accommodation for 2 on one floor with one internal step. There is a well-equipped kitchen and living area, spacious bathroom with corner whirlpool bath large enough for 2, and the bedroom with a king-sized bed, beams and view out over the Mendip Hills.
Whippletree Cottage sleeps 4 and offers a lovely open plan space with plenty of exposed brickwork and stunning beams. There is a well equipped kitchen and cosy living area with wood burner and TV. There is one bedroom on the ground floor that can be a twin or super king and a wonderful mezzanine level master bedroom with views over the surrounding countryside.
The Engine House was once the stables and has been converted to a cosy studio suitable for 2 with a garden to the rear of the property furnished with wood table and chairs. The kitchen/dining room is on the ground floor but is open above to the green oak rafters. A well-equipped kitchen and living room with two comfy settees and a wood-burning stove. Climb the cast iron spiral staircase to the hayloft with a super king sized bed.
Now the cowshed has been converted to a ground floor self-catering apartment for 2 guests called Barleycorn. It has an open-plan kitchen/living area with an oak table with 4 chairs, king sized bed in the bedroom and large bathroom with walk-in shower. There is WiFi and underfloor heating throughout.
The shepherd's hut has a large bed that can fold away to seating during the day. Although insulated there is no internal heating so it is only used in the warmer months, and in conjunction with one of the cottages so the guests have access to a kitchen and bathroom.
The Piggery houses the laundry facilities.
As a working farm, dogs cannot visit but indoor pets may be possible.

FAQs
Unfortunately dogs are not allowed to stay in the cottages at Withy Mills Farm.
Can we see the animals on the farm?Withy Mills Farm is a working dairy farm. During the winter months cattle are kept inside and you can walk down to see any in the sheds near the cottages. We are calving from September to November. From spring to late summer all the cows are out in the fields and less visible.
How near is the village to the cottages?Timsbury is a one mile walk from the holiday cottages and has a Co-op, chemist, fish&chip shop, health food shop and cafe.
How late can I check in?We can arrange a late check in at any time by arrangement.
Are the cottages suitable for a group booking? We welcome family groups who are meeting for an event such as a wedding in the locality. However, we would not recommend renting all the cottages for a celebration such as Christmas as none of the properties have enough space indoors for more than four people to sit in comfort or to eat together.
Is there parking for more than one car?Yes, there is plenty of parking for extra cars very close to the cottages.
