The Quirky Tour
I visited the huts for myself whilst on the Quirky Tour and feel that this would be a fun way to get some friends or 4 families or couples together, whilst still having some privacy from each other.
Each hut has plenty of outdoor space in the form of a large wooden deck with table and seating, BBQ and a kitchen hut with coolbox to cook basic meals.
Kids would love to roam the surrounding woodland whilst the adults hang out. This is an off grid back to nature experience - bring torches, wellies etc and switch off from technology.
Be sure to go on the amazing Fairy Trail! It is included in your stay.

When it comes to eating and drinking, this fabulous woodland kitchen and bar is just a short walk from your hut and offers a great choice of drinks including woodland cocktails. Eco Credentials:
The site uses minimal electricity and an increasing proportion of energy usage is renewable. LPG is used to heat water (more efficient than electricity). Spent water is sent to a bio digester or reed bed and then released into the ground on site. It has won lots of accolades over the years and is a member of the Green Tourism scheme, holding a coveted gold award.
The site recycles and encourages the guests to recycle materials, packaging and waste and examine ways to reduce / phase out such “waste” materials at source in the first instance. Food for the woodland kitchen is sourced locally where possible. There is a 20 year Woodland Management Programme and 20 year Bio Diversity Plan, which includes measuring the bio diversity, it’s changes and the impact of our business activities. This includes tree and under storey planting such as native English Bluebells, and the control of pests (such as grey squirrel) and invasive non native plants, such as Rhododendron and Bracken. The site has introduced a Transport policy to encourage the use of bicycle hire and is implementing car sharing, both amongst guests and staff.

FAQs
The Woodcutter huts are set in one area of the woods together, but there are other accommodations on site so consideration is needed for other guests especially in school holidays.
