Deep in the heart of Suffolk's stunning countryside, just a stone's throw from the historic town of Bury St Edmunds you can find a family run site offering The Woodland Lodge which sleeps up to 4 guests.
The Woodland Lodge is set in its own private wooded area and offers comfort in a rural setting. It sleeps up to 4 people with 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 with bunk beds so this is a perfect family property. Relax in the comfy lounge, make use of the Digital TV and DVD player or alternatively sit outside and admire the views or stoke up the BBQ and enjoy dining al fresco. Children love exploring the woodland setting and parents can choose to have a digital detox - although Wifi is available! There is a kitchenette with fridge, hob, microwave, toaster and the all important kettle and a cosy dining area. A spacious wet room with shower completes the lodge.
Locally you can visit the archaeological museum of West Stow Anglo-Saxon village, Abbey Gardens or Lackford Lakes. If you are after an adventure then High Lodge offers Go Ape Tree Top Adventures, which is suitable for all members of the family!
Quieter adventures include a choice of walks including a stroll along the famous Lark Valley path, a 15 mile long marked pathway that goes through riverside, woodland, heathland and parkland. If you are looking for somewhere to dine after expending some energy then The Guinness Arms is a stunning 16th Century coaching inn, within walking distance of the site.
