Animal Heaven! Your home will be a quirky woodland lodge in a private orchard of a Manor House on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The area is an AONB with stunning views.

Share your living space with a whole host of animals that surround the woodland lodge with our llamas and alpacas in an adjacent paddock The woodland lodge is a folly and its exterior rustic charm gives way to a very modern german mobile home that has a lounge , separate bedroom and toilet facilities and a double bed settee in the lounge. It has tea and coffee making facilities and a veranda with seating, picnic area in the orchard and sunbathing loungers and hammock. You can also book a llama/Alpaca trek or interactive animal experience right there.

For a truly unique and private experience book our woodland lodge folly surrounded by wildlife and nature. A true forest bathing experience that will leave you relaxed and feeling great.

The lodge sleeps 2 adults, (with space for 2 children aged 12+ if required for a small fee). This is generally an adults only experience where you can sit by your campfire at night or laze in the hammock counting the stars as we have dark skies and no light polution.

There is no running water in the lodge, although the toilet and sink run off a connected water tank that will be full before arrival and there is a tap outside should you need extra water. There is a wet room shower with hot water but it is possible to use a shower in the Manor House if preferred.

There are tea and coffee making facilities and a veranda with seating - the perfect place to enjoy your first cup of the day.

When it comes to eating you can make use of the picnic area in the orchard and enjoy a lazy siesta afterwards on the sunbathing loungers or hammock. Once the stars come out then you can sit by the campfire at this dark skies area with no light pollution. This property truly offers a wonderful back to nature experience that will leave you relaxed and feeling great.

Locally you can enjoy many lovely village based walks right from the door or go hiking to Lacy's Caves and Long Meg druid standing stones. Alternatively a visit to the lovely old market town of Penrith and its many individual shops and surrounding attractions including Penrith Castle and Brougham Castle and Lowther activity Park.

In the village of Melmerby there is also a private swimming pool ( Tower House Pool) just a 2 minute walk away where you can book an hour session. The owners of the Ravenstone Country Manor House site where the lodge is situated also offer llama trekking, a unique chance to bond with these gentle creatures and a chance to hire the BBQ Cabin...choices, choices!
