The Quirky Tour
Fabulous mountain views and steaming hot tub from which to enjoy them as well as from rooms in the cabin.
No fear of the cold here despite snowy months in winter as there's a sauna too. This is a great base to enjoy hikes and even skiing.
The Glenshee Ski Centre is 15 minutes up the road. Most slopes were closed due to a warm spell when we visited but I managed to do a few runs on button lift with artificial snow. That was fun!

Description
Come to Scotland and stay in Cragdhu log cabin complete with outside hot tub and sleeping 2-5 people. Hidden away in a quiet corner of the Cairngorm National Park discover this log cabin for a relaxing break away from it all. It has open views that can be enjoyed from the hot tub, or make use of the sauna inside, perfect for soothing those aching muscles after a day walking through the stunning countryside or skiing down the slopes.
Cragdhu has self-catering facilities, 2 bedrooms (one double ensuite and one twin) for 4 guests, but a single futon can be added in the living room should there be a 5th guest. The lounge has Freesat TV & DVD player. There is a timber deck, hot tub, coal BBQ and outdoor furniture outside, and a sauna inside.
Located at 1100 feet above sea level, it offers incredible panoramic mountain views and is a great base for simply kicking back and chilling out. Alternatively, partake in sporting pursuits including skiing and snowboarding in the winter months or walking, mountain biking and golf in the summer months.
The cabin itself is a home from home holiday with all the mod cons you would expect in a log cabin. Its quirky grass roof helps it to blend into the landscape and keep it insulated.
Located at the Spittal of Glenshee just 6 miles from Glenshee Ski Centre and within striking distance of many Scottish mountains or munro's as they are known locally. If you are up for a hiking challenge then the Cateran Trail is a fully waymarked 64 mile route that can be broken down into 5 stages, one of which you can cover each day of your stay! Imagine sinking into your hot tub after that - perfection! Alternatively, enjoy a day of touring with Royal Deeside and Balmoral Castle just 45 minutes away.
