Day 12 of The Quirky Tour and Jess and Dom enjoyed a visit to Garden Room Lodge in Monmouthshire.

Find out more about their visit:

First Impression:

I am pleased to see Monique and Mike have built a lovely new shower room alongside the cabin for guests. These owners have several lovely dogs that will wander the gardens of this holiday property, that we have worked with, coming up close to a year.

The Accommodation:

The lodge has a good kitchen with luxury coffeer machine. There is a dining table for 2 inside and loungers outside so you can enjoy your morning drink in a variety of places.

The comfy double room comes complete with robes for using the hot tub.

This lodge is set in a rural location with a pretty lake and is a really peaceful place to spend time with your partner.

Whilst dogs are not welcome here due to the owners having their own, you can bring a horse with you! If coming by car, there is an electric charging point.

Food and Drink:

You can self cater at this lodge or enjoy a delicious meal at the local pub in Raglan, the Cripple Creek Inn. There is also a village shop for any essentials you may need, although the owners do supply some welcome items on your arrival.

Jess' top tip:

Be sure to visit nearby Raglan Castle, which is just a short drive away. This really interesting tumble down castle with moat has a rich history.

After visiting here, stop off in the village pub for a refreshing drink.
