Day 12 of The Quirky Tour and Jess and Dom enjoyed a visit to Trunkquillity Treehouse in Herefordshire.
Find out more about their visit:
First Impression:
Large and impressive structure up in the trees in a woodland setting. The interior living space is bright and cheerful with fully equipped red kitchen and Union Jack decor.
The Accommodation:
The treehouse is a great place to chill out. You can watch TV or listen to the radio while relaxing on the sofa, or there are comfortable stools at a breakfast bar too.
Climb quite narrow spiral stairs to the mezzanine level bedroom for a good nights sleep. We found the treehouse lovely and warm on a minus temperature day using the extra heater as well as the radiator.
There is an outside deck area with furniture which is shared with a resident squirrel, the ideal place for your morning cuppa.
Below the treehouse is a jacuzzi hot tub and seating area.
Food and Drink:
The owners leave you some starter bits for your arrival: tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt, pepper and hampers can be ordered too.
If you are looking to eat out, then nearby Hereford offers a multitude of eateries for you to explore.
Jess' top tip:
Take time to simply relax and take in the view of the lake from your terrace! Alternatively head to the skies with a helicopter flight experience.
