Tucked away in a woodland area, this well designed cabin offers a tranquil rural retreat for a couple or family looking to reconnect with nature and each other sleeping up to 4 guests.

Although not far off the ground, this raised cabin has a feel of a rustic treehouse due to its woodland setting and the back-to-nature feel of the place. Inside there is a mezzanine level (accessible by a ladder) with a double bedroom area. On the lower level you can find 2 single foldout futons, comfortable as sofas during the day. Facilities include a kettle, toaster, electric coffee filter and fridge plus a small dining table. There is also a modern electric heater for chillier days and nights.

Your private bathroom hut with separate loo and shower rooms is just a few steps away from the cabin and comes with complimentary organic toiletries.

For those of you that like to stay connected to the outside world, be assured that although the cabin is hidden in a woodland area it is actually just 200 steps from the owners house and as such you benefit from free wifi! You are also free to enjoy the owner's large garden and use their table tennis table when it isn't already in use.

Outside the cabin you can enjoy the woodland views, toast some marshmallows on the firepit or cook on the unique stainless steel beer barrel BBQ. If you don't wish to cook then take your pick from one the many restaurants in neighbouring villages or order a take-away to be delivered. Food enthusiasts will love the nearby farm shop and distillery just under a mile away.

Bird lovers will enjoy watching the live webcam that is located in the real owl nesting box situated in the gable of this very cabin. The owners also have many birds of prey that you are welcome to come and meet and if you wish to have an up close and personal handling experience with these beautiful creatures this can be arranged for a fee.

Locally you can visit the unique Eden Project, enjoy a trip to the Bodmin Jail Attraction, explore the moors, coastal villages and beaches. Animal lovers will delight in a visit to the Porfell Wildlife Park and Sanctuary, and of course you will get to meet the birds of prey which live on site, personal experiences can also be booked in advance, look at the Bird Lady of Fowey website for more details. The ancient stannery town of Lostwithiel is only 1 mile down a quiet country lane, famous for it's many antique shops, the English Heritage Restormel Castle and ancient bridge over the River Fowey.
