The Quirky Tour
As the kitchen and bathroom are not inside this shepherds hut you have more living space to spread out a little.
You take a stroll to a nice warm shower room and a little further to The Bothy which is a social kitchen / dining space.
It was a cold night when we checked in but once the woodburner was lit we were down to t-shirts and enjoyed the rustic experience in comfort.
Jess' visit on the 6th February during The Quirky Tour 2023

Description
Relax in peace at this gorgeous shepherds hut for up to 4 guests, on a tranquil site nestled near the stunning mountains of the Spittal of Glenshee and the Cairngorms National Park. Book a hot tub session for an extra treat!
Inside Tummelberry you can find a raised double bed with memory foam mattress for a great night's sleep plus a seating and dining area that easily converts into a second double bed. There is a wood burning stove for extra cosiness on the chilly Scottish days and nights and a kettle is provided for that all important morning cuppa. Electric lights and sockets make for a relaxed stay where you can stay connected to the outside world...if you so wish.
Outside there is a small decked area with a bistro table and chairs for that late night tipple plus down on the grass a picnic table offers the ideal spot for some al fresco dining. Of an evening you can light the firepit and warm yourself around it with some tasty marshmallows to warm you from the inside!
Near to Tummelberry you will discover your individual private bathroom with shower, wc and sink. Plus The Bothy - which is a communal kitchen area with hob, small oven, washing up facilities and extra dining tables.
For extra relaxation why not book a session in the hot tub with its stunning views over the glen, covered seating area and changing room. Please enquire about this service.
This family run site covers 10 acres and comes complete with llamas, donkeys, goats, ducks and chickens, all of which are very friendly. There is a fabulous natural play area for the children with slopes to roll down, tunnels to climb through and tractor wheels to explore, plus a new lake with insects aplenty in the planning. If you can drag yourself away from the beauty of the site then there is plenty to do including kayaking, archery, canoeing and guided cycling trips. If you prefer a quieter activity then book a course at the nearby Woodland Skills Centre where you can learn spoon carving, bushcraft, willow weaving and coppice crafts to name but a few. And of course during the winter, the site will be covered with beautiful snow and you can take to the slopes with skiing, toboganning and snowboarding at Glenshee.
Children welcome. A maximum of 2 dogs welcome at an extra cost of £5 each per night.
There is a minimum 2 night stay.
